Personality:
Sin is a beautiful gray colt with a temper of a dark angel. He has relatively no vices in the barn besides constantly nickering and whinnying for attention. He is a quite a stud around the barn even for such a young horse. He'll send googoo eyes to any mare or filly that enters the barn and is really fond of Fiery Touch. He immediately took to her as soon as he stepped off the trailer and has basically claimed her for his own. He is a sweet heart to the staff at Witch Creek, but is a little devil to any horse besides Fiery Touch. He cannot stand any of the studs and has to be put at the end of the barn away from the other horses and with the mares and fillies between them. Sin loathes Mastermind with a passion. Mastermind returns the favor every time Sin challenges him. If they ever get loose, Ripley is certain they could end up in a fight.Sincerely Yours is a great horse to work with unless Mastermind is around. He is focused and eager to please. He is a proud horse who loves to run and stretch his legs. He is not a fan of stalls and really treasures the time he gets in the paddocks or on the tracks. He is always scenting the air for horses and gets particularly excited when passing the broodmares of the stable. Sin does this even when he is out on the track and can get semi distracted when he first starts his run, but thankfully he'll keep on running even if a smell comes up that he is interested in. After being gelded, Sin has displayed much calmer and a lot more focused persona. He still has his moments of being the wild studish colt, but doesn't get as rough and is considerably more gentle. He still considers Fie his best girlfriend, but he doesn't get protective. He still shows a strong dislike toward Mastermind, but he's not willing to threaten the regal colt. Sin is a down and dirty boy. He loves to roll and loves to do his own thing. He actually enjoys going out for rides that have nothing to do with racing itself. He has become Ripley's training test to see if she can implement gentler ways of training race horses with the same perfect result. So far, Sin has displayed that it does work. Ripley can't wait to put her methods out on the track. The pair of them get along rather nicely and it is appears that the promising relationship will extend to the track as well.
Ripley loves his speed and his appearance. He's a nice, clean looking colt with awesome legs on him. He looks as if he can cover plenty of ground over a quick period of time.In a race, Sincerely Yours usually will settle into mid pack though he is extremely quick at the break. He just doesn't have it in his heart to run straight to the front, knowing he will have to expel a good amount of energy to stay there. He likes to cover up behind horses and then shoots through small holes that larger horses cannot get through. Most times, Ripley will have to guide him off the rail and wide around the field in order to avoid leaders who are heading backwards. The colt doesn't mind. He pulls extremely hard to the front end at final turn and has a tremendous turn of foot for a dirt horse. He can be hard to pull up after a race as he gets head strong at the Wire, always wanting to run farther than his races usually are.
History:
Sin was purchased by Witch Creek Stable from The Wire Annual Original Horse Sale. He was a colt for a long time, but after attempting to savage Mastermind and Cold Mountain, Sin had proven to be much to hard to handle. There is not much of a need for this colt in the breeding shed with so many other colts and stallions in the barn. Gelding him so far has turned out to be more beneficial to Witch Creek than having an uncontrollable, hormone controlled stallion. Sin was in training to race when he went through a paddock accident. The gelding ran through the fencing and tore his back tendons. The consulting vet stated he would never return back to true form as a race horse. However, he will be able to have a career as a future stable pony for Battle Brook.
