personality
If you are looking a ride or die chick to partner up with, you needn't look any further. Whipped Cream is one of the most fiercely loyal and tough horses you have ever met. She is brawny, strong, coltish in her appearance and more than willing to hand you your just desserts if you upset her. She has provided quite the entertainment for those at Witch Creek by bucking nearly everyone off of her back within the first week of her arrival. The near black mare has the temper of a very volatile queen. She picks and chooses what she wants and when she wants it. She is not a morning horse by any means and no method prodding, bribing, or trickery will wake her up before ten o'clock. She is always in the last workout set because of her pension for sleep and her lack of initiative to join in morning breakfast. Rea is high on the totem pole here at Witch Creek though few of the other horses really like her. She clashes violently with Dazzling Dame at various periods of the day and the two mares can barely stand to be in one another's presence without slaughtering each other. Rea, however, has become quite close with Fiery Touch and surprisingly, Cross My Heart. The three fillies are never without each other and constantly prowling their shared paddock together. Rea is loud and her presence is always made known to every person who is on the property. She is the early alarm system especially in the spring and summer. She'll neigh and trumpet, screaming her fool head off when someone is on the property she doesn't know. She drives the stallions nuts and they'll run to the opposite end of their paddocks just to escape. Rea, however, is the obnoxious aunt that everyone can't stand, but you just can't help but love. She does have affectionate tendencies on the ground and will cuddle with anyone that stops by. She's not a fan of treats which is incredible considering that she is already a pretty bulky mare. On the track, Rea is quite the war horse. She struts her stuff, bows her neck, carries her tail high and gives all the signs that she is ready to rock and roll. Whipped Cream will parade nicely, put on a good show, go into the gate beautifully and succumb to all the pets that come to a beautiful, strong mare. Of course, the moment those gates open, Rea is all business. She breaks pretty well, though it takes a moment for her long legs to sort themselves out. She'll fly up until she reaches mid-pack, not expending too much energy in the early stages of the race. She covers a tremendous amount of ground and does not really have to exert herself much to keep up with the pack. As they near the far turn, Laura will typically signal for her to begin her run. The bay will dip into another gear and begin picking off her competitors one by one until she is battling with the last horse. She is a grinder down the stretch and will attempt to wear her opponents into submission. A strong mare with a lion's heart should never be counted out.
