Indi is best described as having a somewhat feisty nature - this troublesome filly certainly isn't as placid as some of her peers although she is not the worst horse around. Generally she just dislikes strangers and tends to calm down once she gets to know a person - unless that person is the vet, of course. Her bright, energetic spirit is often commented on by visitors who see her out in the pasture where she tends to run and play a lot although she can only be turned out with geldings or more submissive fillies/mares due to her tendency to fight.
Indi is not the type of horse to approach the edge of the paddock looking for attention, she is somewhat solitary in this respect, but when her handlers enter the paddock she pretty much charges toward them, stopping only a few feet short of a collision. Her bond with her handlers and other people who work with her, once built, is very strong.
Like many horses she is very greedy at feeding time and has to be fed using a door trough to prevent her knocking her food all across the stall.
Indi is not the easiest horse to deal with before a race, tending to become a little over-excited which causes trouble with loading. Once she is in the gate, however, she settles nicely ready for the race. Her break is nice, although not quick, and she will quickly find her position on the track just ahead of the closers. For the majority of the race, this is where she will stay, although she can be a little excitable and over-eager - this is easily dealt with by a confident jockey and should not cause issue if dealt with. She is a tough filly, easily able to handle a knock during a race without much issue. She does not injure easily nor is her attention easily swayed. She will start moving up the field a few furlongs before the stretch, but her true move is saved for the final furlongs where she has a very impressive burst of speed (not quite that of a true closer, but not far off). Matched with her strong racing spirit, this sudden speed makes her quite the demon in the closing stages of a race. She will not give up no matter how insurmountable the situation - as long as her jockey remains dedicated so will she.
